Sen. Manny Pacquiao Speaks on Fellow Presidential Candidates Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno

MANNY PACQUIAO – The PROMDI standard-bearer cited reasons why he believes the Filipinos should not vote for former Senator Bongbong Marcos Jr. and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

One of the presidential candidates in the May 2022 Election is Sen. Manny Pacquiao, the standard-bearer of PROMDI. Before entering the field of politics, he made a name in the field of boxing. He defeated several boxing legends from other countries and placed the Philippines on the map of the sports.

Pacquiao was able to take his family out of poverty with his success in the boxing field. In 2016, he took the senatorial race and won a seat. He also became a member of the ruling party, PDP-Laban.

However, a few months before the filing of the candidacies for the Election 2022, Pacquiao and some of the PDP-Laban members had issues that led to an internal faction in the political party. Amid the issues, the boxer-turned-Senator showed determination to push through his presidential bid even if he would have to be an independent candidate.
