LTFRB Central Office Temporarily Closed on January 6-7, 2022
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced the temporary closure of their central office on January 6-7, 2022.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines under the Department of Transportation. It was established on June 19, 1987 during the term of president Corazon Aquino.
The agency is in charge of promulgating, administering, enforcing, and monitoring compliance of policies, laws, and regulations of public land transportation services. It is also responsible for granting franchises of vehicles.
Recently, the agency announced the temporary closure of their central office from January 6 (Thursday) until January 7 (Friday). Their 24/7 hotline (1342) will be unavailable from January 6 until January 9, 2021.
LTFRB said in a statement that their employees will undergo swab testing during the time frame. The agency’s facilities and equipment will also undergo a strict disinfection for the safety of everyone.
The temporary closure amid the surging cases of coronavirus disease in the Philippines. The safety measure has been imposed to prevent the possible transmission of COVID-19 among workers and clients.
The organization announced that the public can contact or message them at LTFRB Official Facebook page for their concern and inquiries. Individuals with transactions can send an e-mail to Public Assistance Complaints Desk (PACD) in [email protected].
Over the few days, the cases of coronavirus disease start to increase again after the Christmas and New Year holidays. The surging cases of COVID-19 leads several local government unit to implement stricter measures.
