Netizens Slam Irresponsible Caller For Pulling Prank to Busy Rescuers in Bacolod City

An irresponsible caller reportedly contacted the rescuers reporting a lot of casualties in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

Typhoon Odette causes a severe devastation over some parts of the country particularly in Visayas and Mindanao. The weather disturbance uprooted trees, destroyed numerous properties and takes several lives.

The Philippine government and authorities take immediate action to help the typhoon victims. The rescuers remained under alert status to respond in case of emergency.

A Facebook user named Lyka George has shared the photos of rescuers who got pranked by an irresponsible called who made a fake report. The post immediately goes viral and elicits comments from the netizens.

In the photos, it can be seen that the ambulance of DRRMO, Bacolod City waits at a certain area in the town. The rescuers seem to be waiting for something in front of a church after receiving a call from an unidentified individual.

According to Lyka, someone pranked the rescuers who called and asked for help after making false claims. The caller contacted the rescue personnel claiming that uprooted trees fell on the road, which causes an accident.

The caller claimed that the accident allegedly took the lives of numerous residents and injured some individuals. The rescuers immediately respond to save lives but eventually learned that it was just a prank.
