Is it true that Claudine Barretto has decided to withdraw her candidacy?
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto reacted to the claim of veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin saying that she withdrew her candidacy for councilor in Olongapo City.
Claudine surprised many showbiz enthusiasts when she filed her certificate of candidacy. She is under the team of her talent manager Arnold Vegafria who is running for Mayor.
Although she admitted that she is new in the world of politics and that there are still a lot of things that she should know, the actress said that really aims to help the people.
Just recently, Cristy mentioned in her show that Claudine was no longer attending their campaign sorties. “Nung kunin siya para tumakbo bilang konsehal ay si Arnold ang taya sa lahat ng gastos. Wala daw anumang gagastusin si Claudine basta tumakbo daw,” the veteran showbiz writer said.
Cristy added when she first heard about the plan of the Optimum Star to join politics, she said that this might be just in the beginning. “Pabago-bago naman talaga ang takbo ng utak nitong si Claudine… At ang pinakamahalaga, sinabi po ng aming common friend na wala pong pondong ibinababa pa si Arnold Vegafria. Wala pa pong pera na ibinibigay sa kanya kaya hindi na siya sumasama sa pag-iikot ng kanilang partido sa Olongapo,” she said.
Claudine Barretto slammed this statement of the veteran showbiz writer. Through her recent Instagram video, the actress stressed that this is fake news adding that she has no plan of backing out.
She also explained that the reason why she was not present in several political gatherings with her party was that they are renovating their house in Olongapo and this has kept her busy. On the other hand, Claudine said that these coming days, she will attend the campaign sorties and rallies with her party.
