Veteran host Willie Revillame is set to be back on primetime TV as his Wilyonaryo game show will begin airing on TV5 starting January 25.
Willie had to take a break from doing his TV show when he ran for Senator in the 2025 midterm elections. He did not win and decided to go back to hosting.
After several months, it was announced that he would have his TV comeback with a new show. However, even before the airing, during the dry run of the show on the social media pages of the show, netizens already had negative reactions because Willie once again reprimanded a staff member during the broadcast. He has been criticized for his “imbyerna” moments on his show in the past.
Based on the article in Abante, a source teased that on January 20, Willie will hold a media conference to announce the airing of “Wilyonaryo” on TV5.
It is also expected that during the media conference, Willie will also explain why he will start on Sunday and what the timeslot of his “Wilyonaryo” game show really is.
A source close to the TV host-producer also teased that Willie will be doing a dry run on the new game show starting on Monday, January 12 a 7:00 pm.
The source also said that even though it would be just a dry run, prize money will be given away. “Pero kahit dry run lang po, may chance na manalo ng 1 million ang matatawagan ni Kuya Wil. May prizes na po agad,” the source shared.
