PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (December 6)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line would bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Monday (December 6, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Shear line would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the shear line or the tail end of a frontal system would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region.

The northeast monsoon would also bring similar weather condition over provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Apayao, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Benguet, and Aurora.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and the rest of Mindanao.

Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan, Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, the rest of Visayas and rest of Mindanao would have the same weather due to the effects of Amihan.

The weather agency warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

PAGASA also raised a gale warning over seaboards of Northern Luzon and Central Luzon, and the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

“Ang mga lugar na ito ay makararanas po ng maalon hanggang sa napakaalon. Kaya paalala po sa ating mga kababayan na huwag munang pumalaot sa mga lugar na ito dahil may inaasahan pa rin tayo na matataas na alon,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

The coastal water conditions over seaboards of Luzon, Visayas and the eastern section of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The rest of Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
