PAGASA Says Typhoon Nyatoh to Bring Rainy Weather on Friday

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (December 3)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Typhoon Nyatoh would bring cloudy to rainy weather condition over some parts of the country.

On Friday (December 3, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Typhoon Nyatoh would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the typhoon outside the Philippine area of responsibility has been last spotted at 1,645 kilometers east of Northern Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 215 kph.

“Bahagyang lumakas itong si Bagyong Nyatoh at ito ay kumikilos palayo ng ating Philippine area of responsibility,” Pagasa weather specialist Samuel Duran said.

Typhoon Nyatoh would bring cloudy weather condition and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Negros provinces, and the southern portion of Palawan including Kalayaan Island.

Nyatoh is also expected to bring possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

The northeast monsoon would also bring similar weather condition over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Negros Provinces, Southern portion of Palawan, provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Apayao, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Benguet, and Aurora.

The amihan would bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated light rains over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of Mindanao would have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.
