Jessy Mendiola shared this part of her career in showbiz
Actress Jessy Mendiola addressed the critics of the bloopers she had before during interviews on television.
Jessy has been in the industry for several years now and just like many artists, she also went through challenging times when she was starting. In recent stints, Jessy shared in an interview that she is thankful for having the chance to try hosting projects.
As her husband Luis Manzano is one of the notable hosts of this generation, Jessy Mendiola said that he is helping her a lot when it comes to this aspect. She said that Luis would remind her always to read the script over and over again so that it would be easy for her to know what to do when her co-host forgot the spiel.
“Kaya nakikilig ako pag kinukuha ako ng mga brands for hosting gigs. ‘Oh my gosh host na ako!’ Kasi dati I used to be so intimidated. As in talagang nagno-no ako pagka may nag-i-inquire about hosting,” Jessy admitted.
It is because of what he experienced in the past interviews. She admitted that she would say something without knowing that would the source of the bashing against her.
“Kasi ang dami ko ng mga bloopers sa TV sa mga questions before or interviews. Yung mga wrong grammar or wrong pronounciation. But that’s okay. It’s part of it. Wala namang perfect, eh,” the actress revealed.
She reasoned out that even fluent English speakers also make a mistake once in a while and this should not result in bashing. Jessy Mendiola added that there is the right way to correct someone.
“If you want to correct someone, correct them respectfully di ba? Parang it all part of growing so sana huwag naman natin i-crucify yung isang tao dahil lang mali yung sinabi niya,” the actress stressed.
Currently, Jessy has no contract with any network and she is just enjoying freelance gigs, aside from regularly posting vlogs on her YouTube channel.
