The “Marilag” hitmaker is set to perform at the New Frontier Theater on November 21 and 22 for his highly anticipated “Grace” tour, which marks his first-ever major concert. The event, already nearing sell-out, has drawn immense support from fans eager to see the rising OPM star perform live.
“I’m beyond grateful that tickets are almost sold out with just a few seats [left],” Dionela wrote on a whiteboard, posing proudly with it in a photo shared across his social media accounts. His excitement, however, turned into a deeper sense of purpose after the devastation caused by the recent typhoon.
“Today, I made a decision that God impressed upon my heart. I’ll be donating everything I earn from this concert to help the victims of the recent typhoon,” he said. The singer added that his concert’s theme, “Grace,” had taken on new meaning after his decision. “I guess this is what grace is all about,” he reflected.
Super Typhoon Uwan recently battered parts of the Philippines, bringing widespread destruction and forcing over a million people to flee their homes. The storm caused severe flooding, submerged entire communities, and left many provinces without power for days.
The catastrophe struck just days after Typhoon Tino ravaged the central region, claiming at least 224 lives and leaving many others injured or missing.
In light of these tragedies, Dionela’s gesture has been met with praise from fans and fellow artists, who commended his compassion and willingness to use his platform for good.
