Bea Alonzo shared how she feels during her first encounters with John Lloyd Cruz
Actress Bea Alonzo revealed that she used to hate her longtime onscreen partner actor John Lloyd Cruz.
The tandem of Bea and John Lloyd has reached milestones that not all onscreen partnerships have achieved. They made a success in bringing their characters into the lives of many showbiz fans.
Just recently, their reunion project was released, the One True Pair movie and it was obvious that their remarkable chemistry onscreen is still there. However, this did not happen with just a snap of a finger.
Bea Alonzo, based on the article in The Philippine Star, shared in a recent interview that at first, she hated doing certain scenes with John Lloyd Cruz. “It wasn’t instant. We weren’t friends in the beginning,” the actress shared.
She also said that their relationship has gone through a lot of phases over the years. From being strangers, they became friends, and then, there was a time that they are enemies but became friends again.
There was also a point that they became more than friends and eventually, they just realized that they can’t put any label on their relationship. “Parang at least sa pakiramdam ko, hindi na lang s’ya, it’s not a love team anymore or friendship… Like I said, we’re always here for each other and siguro mayroon ding rason kung bakit lagi kaming bumabalik sa isa’t isa,” Bea said.
Meanwhile, John Lloyd said that his relationship with Bea is almost like in the movie that they made. When asked if he thinks Bea Alonzo is his soulmate, he said, “Tingin ko, hindi pa ba? Tingin ko, kung kailangan pa ba ng another 20 years to define it? I think two decades is more than enough para i-seal ‘yung souls natin.”
John Lloyd Cruz added that in the context of collaborating with each other and doing movies together, he can say that their souls exist side-by-side.
