The reunion project of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo is finally out
A-list stars John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo shared their experience working with director JP Habac, the one who directed their reunion project One True Pair.
Fans of the tandem of Bea and John Lloyd, then and now, were gushing over their new project that was released on the YouTube channel of Jollibee Studios. The long wait is over as the much-loved tandem once again brought “kilig” to many fans.
Working together again in this project was indeed a treat for Bea and John Lloyd who have been friends for a long time now. They also enjoyed doing this because of the fact that they have a good director.
Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the A-list stars praised Direk JP. It is the first time for both Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz to work with the said director.
The actress shared that she was supposed to do a movie before under the direction of Direk JP but that project did not push through. She shared that she has seen his films before.
Working with the director, Bea said that she enjoyed it and the set was very light. “He’s so unassuming, he is also very collaborative, so I enjoyed it. It felt like we are all on the same page the whole time,” the actress shared.
Then, John Lloyd Cruz shared his first impression of Direk JP. “Akala ko noong una suplado si direk, e. Kasi, hindi siya nagsa-salita,” the actor said in jest.
Lloydie continue by saying that he appreciated that the director gave them freedom to collaborate with him. “He never imposes. Kaya naging maganda ‘yung flow ng collaboration and yeah parang naghihintay ako ng susunod namin magagawa,” he added.
In the part of Direk JP Habac, he revealed that he felt nervous directing the A-list stars. However, he thought that he should not show his “kaba” working with John Lloyd and Bea.
“Pero, noong dinidirek ko na sila, sobrang dali kausap, like, it’s not really direction, mas collaboration ‘yung nangyayari doon sa set na kung paano nila gusto i-treat ‘yung dialogue ganyan,” the director said.
