Scarlet Snow is not using his father’s surname and Vicki Belo shares the reason why behind this.
VICKI BELO – Beauty doctor Vicki Belo shares the reason why Scarlet Snow Belo is not using her father’s last name in her legal documents.
Scarlet Snow Belo is Dra. Vicki Belo’s only child with her husband Hayden Kho. She was conceived through in vitro fertilization and a Mexican-American surrogate mother in the U.S. was the one who gave birth to her in March 2015. She was already a year old when she was formally and officially introduced to the public. And since then, she never failed to bring a ray of sunshine on her parents’ life but also to the newsfeed of the people who follows her on social media.
The Bible verse Isaiah 1:18: “Though your sins be red as scarlet, I shall make them white as snow” is the inspiration of Hayden on how he chose her name. It also serves as a reflection of his changes and improvement following his highly-publicized controversy before.
In a previous article, although they are able to give her everything, Dra. Belo chooses not to and stops herself from doing it. Having been through being a spoiled kid, she knows that being given anything won’t help her in the future. She said, “With Scarlet, ayokong ibigay lahat kasi hindi nakakatulong talaga. Kung feeling ko lang makakatulong sa future niya at magiging happier person siya, I would do it.”
And now, speaking about Scarlet carrying “Belo” as her last name and not “Kho”, the beauty doctor revealed that she really pled to Hayden to agree to it because she got no “Belo beauty” – the real Belo baby. Hayden eventually agreed to this.
At that time, they are accordingly not married yet. “Hiningi ko yan kay Hayden,” says Vicki referring to Scarlet the reason why in her birth certificate, her name doesn’t appear with Kho. Her two other children are Henares and Scarlet is the one she can call her own because she is Belo legally.
“Kasi wala na eh. After me, no one. I have cousins who are Belo but they are all in arts,” she said in an interview with Ogie Diaz.
