Oil Firms Impose Another Price Rollback for Gasoline & Diesel

Several oil firms in the country implements another price rollback for gasoline and diesel for three straight weeks.

During this modern generation, the petroleum product’s prices play a very important role to the country’s economy. Pump price adjustment usually causes significant impact on prices of products and services in the country.

Pump price hike just contributes to the daily burden of Filipino people especially to those who were using public vehicles for a living and to individuals using private vehicles to reach their point of destination.

Price Rollback

On Tuesday (November 23, 2021), some oil companies in the Philippines have imposed a reduction on prices of petroleum products including gasoline, diesel and kerosene. The fuel prices rolled back for three consecutive weeks.

Pilipinas Shell, Total Philippines, PTT Philippines, Petro Gazz, and Seaoil cut the prices of gasoline by P0.85 per liter, P1.20 per liter of diesel and P1.30 per liter of kerosene.

Total Philippines, PTT Philippines, Cleanfuel, and Petro Gazz implement similar price adjustments except for kerosene, which they do not carry.

Caltex starts to impose the price adjustment at 12:01 am, Cleanfuel at 8:01 am and other gasoline stations at 6:00 am on Tuesday.

The total reduction per liter of gasoline reached P3.10 on the third week of successive price rollbacks this November after more than two months of oil price hike.

The Department of Energy (DOE) also released the latest data available showing the price adjustment for this year. The data shows that gasoline surged P20.05 per liter, diesel at P17.50 per liter and kerosene at P15.09 per liter.
