Oil Companies Set to Impose Another Pump Price Hike Starting on Tuesday (September 7)

Several oil companies announced another pump price hike in petroleum products starting Tuesday (September 7, 2021).

Over the past few years, the prices of petroleum products were playing a very important role to the country’s economy. Oil price changes affects the prices of other services and products.

The petroleum price increase would contribute to the burden of Filipino people especially to those who were driving vehicles for a living and to private drivers driving to reach their point of destination.

Some gasoline stations in the Philippines are set to impose another increase on prices of petroleum products including gasoline, diesel and kerosene. It would be the second price hike after consecutive weeks of rollback.

Oil firms including Shell and Seaoil would implement an additional P0.50 per liter of gasoline, P0.60 per liter of diesel and P0.95 per liter of diesel. Caltex would also impose an additional P0.50 per liter of platinum and silver fuel. P0.95 per liter of diesel and P0.60 per liter of kerosene.

Petro Gazz and Cleanfuel would implement an additional P0.95 per liter of diesel and P0.50 per liter of gasoline. Shell and Seaoil would impose the changes at 6: 00 am on Tuesday while Caltex will implement the adjustment at 12:01 am

The Department of Energy also released the latest data available showing the year-to-date adjustments. The data shows a total net increase of P12.85 per liter of gasoline, P9.95 per liter of diesel, and P8.10 per liter of kerosene.
