Here’s what John Lloyd Cruz said about his network switch
A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz revealed the reason behind his decision to transfer to GMA-7 after more than a decade of being under the management of ABS-CBN.
This year, John Lloyd officially had his showbiz comeback. He is now being managed by Crown Artist Management of Maja Salvador and her boyfriend Rambo Nunez. Earlier this month of November, the sought-after leading man signed a contract with the Kapuso network for a sitcom.
Last June, Willie Revillame already hinted about this showbiz comeback of the A-list actor with a project in GMA. After months of waiting, his fans were delighted when he finally signed a program contract with the Kapuso network.
During a recent episode of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, the first question that seasoned broadcast journalist Jessica Soho asked John Lloyd Cruz was the major decision that he did in his career just recently.
“Welcome John Lloyd sa GMA pero bakit ka ba lumipat?” the award-winning host asked. The actor responded by saying, “napakahirap naman ng unang tanong” and then, he laughed.
John Lloyd explained that he is now at the point of his life in which he will follow where there is work. “Nag-uugat sa pagtulong sa isang grupo na malapit sa puso ko,” he said.
The actor added that if they will get together again, there is a great possibility that everyone will have a job. In the same interview, Lloydie was also asked to relay the story of his so-called “leave”.
He said that at that time, he felt that it was the right time to be kind to himself. It was a time for him to heal and a journey of “unlearning” what he has acquired in showbiz for many years. The actor decided to stay in El Nido, Palawan at that time.
