Here’s the statement of Megastar Sharon Cuneta as she officially joined “Ang Probinsyano”.
SHARON CUNETA – Megastar Sharon Cuneta is happy as she is officially introduced as a part of the top-rating series “Ang Probinsyano”.
The one and only Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s highly anticipated debut in a Kapamilya teleserye is through “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”. She will be joining the star-studded cast on of the longest-running action-drama series’ historic sixth year. Last Tuesday, November 9, she was formally and warmly welcomed with a red carpet.
ABS-CBN COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes, TV production head Laurenti Dyogi, Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal, and “FPJAP” star, director, and creative director Coco Martin were in attendance to be with her. To recall, the addition of Megastar to the cast was one of the most talked-about online. As much as many people know, the series, throughout its running, has featured and included hundreds of stars already.
The role of Megastar in the series has not been disclosed yet but she already had a story conference where it was discussed with Coco and directors Albert Langitan, Kevin de Vela, John Prats, and Malu Sevilla. In a report from ABS-CBN, Cory was the one who reached out to her and suggested that she should join and for her, it’s just easy to say “yes” to it.
“For me, it was a no-brainer. Sino ba naman ang ayaw maging part ng Probinsyano?” she expressed and she’s also thrilled to be included at the same time. And on Instagram, the Megastar wrote that she feels honored and proud to become a part of her Da King’s legacy. According to her, the late Fernando Poe Jr. is her best friend in the business which also made her want to join the cast.
She thanked Martin for having her. She said, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Mr. Coco Martin for thinking of me one sleepless night and making my character in the show whole. I cannot wait to work with all of you!!!”
