Lauren Dyogi Shed Lights to Network Transfer of Kapamilya Stars
Director and ABS-CBN’s head of entertainment production Laurenti “Lauren” Dyogi clarifies the network transfer question of Kapamilya stars.
In her latest vlog, Dyogi has shared some explanations about the rumors and questions about the network transfer of Kapamilya Star amid the franchise crisis that ABS-CBN is facing.
He revealed that before the ABS-CBN network lost its franchise renewal, there are some celebrities who were already decided to move to other networks. He also said this scenario is not new to them as it sometimes happened.
“Sa katanungan pong lilipat po ba ang mga Kapamilya artists sa ibang talent management or ibang network. Alam niyo po bago mawalan kami ng prangkisa ay may ilang artists na po na nagpaalam sa amin na lumipat sa ibang network,” he said.
“Hindi naman po ito bago. Sa mga nakaraang panahon, nangyari na po ito at pinayagan namin sila. At ayaw namin na mapagkaitan sila ng hanapbuhay o kabuhayan. Kaya sa darating na panahon, maaring makita niyo ang ilan sa aming Kapamilya stars o artist na nagiging guest o nagiging bahagi ng ibang network,” he added.

Lauren further said that even though the network has not reduced some programs or has not lost the franchise yet, many managers or talent agencies have approached their artist to ask if they are interested in becoming part of another network.
“Sa aming nakaraang pag-uusap sa ilan naming contract stars, nabalitaan namin o nalaman namin na kahit hindi pa kami nagbawas ng programa o hindi pa kami nawalan ng prangkisa, marami na pong managers o talent agency ang lumapit sa aming artista para tanungin kung interesado silang lumipat o maging bahagi ng ibang network”
The ABS-CBN executive also said that they are grateful and consider it as a compliment, proving that Kapamilya stars are really high standards and in-demand that’s why other agencies or management are chasing them.
“Alam niyo po nakakatuwang marinig po ‘yon. It’s flattering. It’s a compliment to us kasi dito namin napapatunayan na ang aming mga Kapamilya stars ay de calibretalaga at in-demand kaya hinahabol sila ng ibang agencies or management.” Lauren remarked.
Meanwhile, some artists bid goodbye to the network as they choose to switch networks. However, there are still loyal artists who choose to stay and will help the network to recover again.
“Ang mas magandang balitang natanggap namin ay marami po kaming artista ang nagsasabi na they will stay loyal and they will stick it out with the Kapamilya network hanggang ito po ay makabangon. Tutulong po sila sa pagtaguyod sa pagbangon ng bagong ABS-CBN,” he shared.
