On Wednesday (November 3, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The two low-pressure areas would affect the country’s weather condition.

One of the low-pressure areas has been last spotted 70 km west of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. It is expected to dissipate in the next 12 to 24 hours. The other LPA has been spotted at 1,025 km East Northeast of Visayas.

A low-pressure area would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Zamboanga del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Visayas, Masbate and Palawan.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and the rest of Bicol Region rest of Mindanao.

Metro Manila and other areas of Luzon would experience similar weather condition due to the effects of the Northeast Monsoon or locally known as Amihan.

“Itong LPA ay mababa ang tsansa na maging isang bagyo subalit nakikita natin na mananatili ito as an LPA habang unti-unting lumalapit sa bahagi ng Bicol Region and Visayas,”  Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.

The weather agency also advised the residents in the affected area to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern and eastern sections of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas would moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country would have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
