Police Authorities Arrest 2 Suspects Involved in Holdup Incident at Convenience Store in Makati
The police authorities have arrested two suspects in armed robbery at a local convenience store in Barangay Palanan, Makati City.
Two individuals have been arrested by the cops for their involvement in a holdup incident at a convenience store in Barangay Palanan, Makati City last Monday evening (November 1, 2021). The suspects have been nabbed at Barangay Bel-Air on Tuesday early morning (November 2).
The suspects have been identified as Jose Cordero and Roman Butuan. The hold-uppers were aging 24 and 20 years old, according to the report.
According to Makati Police Substation 6 chief Police Maj. John Patrick Magsalos, the suspects even tried to escape from Oplan Sita checkpoint using their motorcycle.
The convenience store’s CCTV caught the suspect wearing a helmet with no face mask enter the store around 9:30 pm. The culprit entered at the back of the counter and stealthily went near the cash box.
The employee identified as alias Jesse explained that he and his fellow workers were preparing to close the shop when the incident happened. Jessie said that the suspect pretended as a customer looking for efficacent oil.

One of the culprits pulled out a gun and secretly declared a holdup. The other employees and customer did not notice the crime.
The police failed to recover the P5, 000 cash stolen by the suspects from the store but they were able to recover an improved firearms of 9-mm and caliber .45. The cops believe that the two robbers have other conspirators.
However, the suspects denied that they have other colleagues. The culprits would face charges of robbery-snatching, curfew violation, driving without plate and license as well as illegal possession of firearms.
