Video of Impounded Dogs Left Unfed Inside Cage Receives Criticisms Online
The netizens are condemning the heartbreaking video footage of impounded dogs left unfed inside of a cage in the province of Cebu.
Cebu municipal government’s campaign launched an operation to impound abandoned or stray dogs last September 2, 2021. The program has been called as Asturias Dog Care and Anti-Rabies Ordinance.
The program has been launched to prevent dogs from roaming around the town and avoid road accidents. However, the netizens considered it as animal cruelty for not attending and starving the poor fur babies.
Unfortunately, an anonymous sender sends a video footage showing impounded dogs left unfed inside a cage. Some of them are even eating the carcasses of other dogs inside the cage due to starvation.
One dog can been seen struggling to stand up after they were left unfed. Most of them are dying and have no choice but to eat their own kind due to hunger.
A Facebook user named Clara Isabelle re-posted it online and seek help from the public. She is asking for food for the poor impounded dogs. The dogs can be located at in Brgy. Langub, Asturias, Cebu.

THE “MAN’S BESTFRIEND” NOW CRYING FOR HELP
A few months ago the Municipality of Asturias implemented an ordinance with their so-called “ASTURIAS DOG CARE AND ANTI-RABIES ORDINANCE” to capture dogs roaming around the municipality to avoid road accidents. But what is happening now? The dogs you captured are dying and eating their own kind out of hunger GIKAON NALANG NILA ILANG KAUBAN SA CAGE NGA NANGAMATAY SA KAGUTOM because you aren’t feeding them. This is animal cruelty! IF YOU CAN’T DO IT RIGHT AND HANDLE THE OBLIGATION, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND TRY TO REVISIT YOUR ORDINANCE!
Anyone who can help save these dogs, foster, or give them food. Please don’t hesitate, they are located in Brgy. Langub, Asturias, Cebu.
