PAGASA Says Northeast Monsoon to Bring Cool & Cloudy Condition on Friday
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that cool and cloudy condition with isolated rains showers are expected in some parts of the country.
On Friday (October 29, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. The intensified northeast monsoon or “amihan” would affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the amihan would bring cloudy condition with rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region and Northern Samar as well as Eastern Visayas.
The southern part of Quezon, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience a fair weather but cloudy skies and chances of isolated rain showers.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, the rest of the Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.
The localized thunderstorms would bring similar weather condition over Mindanao with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon would be moderate to rough. The rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea condition due to the light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction.
The weather agency has also raised gale warning over Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the strong winds brought by the amihan.
