Snake Crawling Into High Voltage Line Causes Brownout in Pigcawayan, Cotabato
A snake in Pigcawayan, Cotabato causes power interruption after crawling into cable of a high voltage lane.
Over the past few years, numerous sightings of snakes and other wild creatures have been recorded throughout the country. Those creatures contain venom that could cause harm to the victims.
Aside from causing harm to people, the appearance of those reptiles in public places could cause commotion, trouble and even damage to properties. The Department of Natural Resources are taking necessary actions regarding those incidents.
Recently, the residents of Barangay Kimarayag went in panic after they spotted a snake crawling into the electrical cable. The serpent slowly crawled into the high voltage lane, which causes a short circuit resulting to power interruption.
The Cotabato Electric Cooperative Inc. (COTELCO) immediately respond and fix the damage. The electrical personnel were able to restore the electricity in the area a few minutes after the incident.
Unfortunately, the snake got burned and passed away due to electrocution.
Meanwhile, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, a cobra has been killed after entering a house. The house owner said that the reptile entered their house through a window while his daughter is attending its online class.
The cobra is supposed to enter the house but it accidentally falls on the ground. The residents were supposed to catch the serpent when it fights back. It leads the people to kill the snake without hesitation.
