BOY ABUNDA – Kapamilya host Boy Abunda is the latest Pinoy celebrity to have a giant billboard at New York’s Times Square.

Eugenio “Boy” Romerica Abunda Jr. or better known as Boy Abunda is one of the most popular faces in the Philippine entertainment industry. He is tagged as the “King of Talk” and is called by celebrities as “Tito Boy.”

The award-winning talk show host recently revealed that he has received various offers from other tv networks. In a previous article, he broke his silence over rumors that he is transferring to the Kapuso network.

Boy Abunda squashed the rumors and refuted the claims that he will transfer to the GMA network. He thinks the rumors started circulating after weather reporter Kim Atienza’s transfer was publicized.

The prominent host said it’s still a “no” for now because he’s still waiting for ABS-CBN to rise again. He also said he misses doing talk shows on free TV.

“If halimbawa, free TV ang ABS, we wouldn’t even be talking about this. Iyon lang naman ang inaantay ko. I wanna go back to the television. I miss television. I miss doing my talk shows on television. So, kung walang-wala na talaga, eh di mag-a-apply na ako sa iba. Pero sa ngayon, hindi totoo ‘yun.”

Recently, Boy Abunda joined the Pinoy celebs who have been featured on a billboard at the famous Times Square in New York. Surely, he couldn’t be any prouder to have a billboard of his own at the liveliest area in the city.

The 65-year-old host was promoting a sustainable and ethical fashion brand called Ia’s Threads in his billboard. Abunda’s endorsement in the US happened just in time for the Filipino American History Month (FAHM) celebration. It is celebrated in the US during the month of October.

Kapamilya couple Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo were also featured in the famous street alongside SB19 in an ad campaign of a soda brand. Former celebrity couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre have also made it on the digital billboard at Times Square.
