Born on May 11, 1993 in Sydney, Australia, James Reid’s real name is Robert James Reid. His father is Australian while his mother is a Filipina. The actor’s parents separated and now have children with other partners. He has four paternal half brothers and two half sisters and a maternal half-sister.

The actor was only two (2) years old when his parents separated and he grew up under the care of his father. He and his father flew to the Philippines because of financial issues.

James Reid’s Showbiz Career

James was 17 years old when he entered the Pinoy Big Brother house in 2010. He was one of the ten (10) Teenternational housemates and the only one (1) who has a Filipino blood. During his stay inside the PBB house, he was brought to the hospital twice. The first diagnosis was muscle pain the chest or rib area while the second determined a hole in his lungs. In June 2010, he finished his PBB journey as the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010 Big Winner.

After his PBB journey, a lot of offers came the way of James Reid. He did several hit films and TV series and, in most of them, he was paired with actress Nadine Lustre.

The on-screen tandem of James Reid and Nadine Lustre led to a real-life relationship. However, in January 2020, the two (2) celebrities confirmed in a joint statement that they have mutually decided to end their relationship to focus on their career and personal growth.
