Former Defense Sec. Gibo Teodoro To Run in 2022

GIBO TEODORO – Former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro filed his candidacy for senator in the 2022 Election through a proxy.

Currently, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is down to the last day of the filing of candidacy period. After it, the the extended voter registration period will resume until October 30, 2021.

Supposedly, the deadline of the voter registration period was September 30, 2021 but there were many calls for an extension. Initially, the poll body said it cannot afford to extend the voter registration period for another month but it convened as it assured the people that it is listening to the clamors of the public.

Both the House of Representatives and Senate passed bills seeking to extend the voter registration period. COMELEC approved the extension from October 11 to October 30.
