Boy Abunda Reveals Standards on Choice for President

BOY ABUNDA – The King of Talk spoke about the candidate that he will vote for president in the Election 2022.

Today is the last day of the filing of candidacies for the Election 2022. Several incumbent politicians in the Philippines have made their bid for a national post official. Most of them are supported by a political party.

Several days before the filing of candidacy, some political parties nominated their bets for president and vice president. They also started the preparation for their senatorial slate. Some nominees accepted the nomination while others declined.

After the filing of candidacy, the voter registration period will resume. It is extended until October 30, 2021. Initially, its deadline was September 30, 2021 but many Filipinos have yet to register to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).

Many Filipinos have already expressed their support on specific candidates. These includes some celebrities who. In some cases, they kept mum on who they will vote but they have set the qualities they want firm. One of them is Kapamilya talk show host Boy Abunda.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Boy Abunda stressed that he will vote for a good person who has the qualifications. According to him, in these hard times, the Filipinos need “people who are qualified, who have the wherewithal to manage this country and its problems”.

The Kapamilya TV host tagged the qualifications set by the Philippine Constitution for presidential aspirants as “insane” claiming that their competence, education attainment, and track record are not considered. He himself got invited by two groups to be part of their senatorial slate but he declined.

According to Tito Boy, he is not ready and it is not his time. He also got nominated by some party-lists but he also refused it due to the same reasons.
