Following the announcement of Vice President Leni Robredo that she will run for President in the 2022 elections, netizens and fans are calling out Ely Buendia about the Eraserheads reunion.
The much-anticipated reunion of the Pinoy 90s band has become a trending topic on Twitter because of the recent announcement of the Vice President. To recall, the band’s former frontman Ely Buendia had a question-and-answer session on the microblogging social media site.
One of the questions that was asked to him by a netizen was if there is a possibility that there will be an Eraserheads reunion. The answer of the singer-songwriter to this was “Pag tumakbo si Leni” referring to the Vice President of the Philippines.
On October 7, a day before the final day for filing of the certificate of candidacy (COC), Vice President Leni Robredo announced that she will be running for the highest government position in the country next year.
With this, netizens recalled the statement of Ely Buendia. Fans of the band are now waiting for the reunion of Eraserheads. Because of this, the name of the iconic Pinoy band of the 90s became a trending topic.

Meanwhile, reports stated that a source close to the Vice President said that her running mate will be Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan. Several celebrities also rallied behind Robredo after her announcement. They show their support for her by wearing something pink.
Aside from Robredo, politicians who also filed their COC for President are Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Ping Lacson, Senator Manny Pacquiao, and former Senator Bongbong Marcos.
