Agot Isidro Defends VP Leni Robredo After Being Belittled by Lito Atienza
AGOT ISIDRO – Actress slammed vice presidential candidate Lito Atienza after he belittled current VP Leni Robredo for alleged candidacy to a higher position.
Recently, Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza criticized Leni Robredo and asked what she had done to the country for aiming for the highest position in the government. On October 2, Atienza released his scathing statements against Robredo whose candidacy has not been announced yet.
He also said that Robredo did not give way to the candidacy of Sen. Manny Pacquiao who will also run as president. “Anu na ba nagawa mo sa bayan bakit pinipilit mo magpresidente, she should be able to answer that bilang Pilipino,” said Atienza.

His controversial statement brings ire to Robredo’s supporters and slammed the vice-presidential candidate. Among the individuals irritated by his statement is actress Agot Isidro.
According to Agot, it is not Robredo who wants to run for President, but the people. The actress’ followers also retweeted her post and air their disappointments towards Atienza.
Some netizens also shared Robredo’s alleged accomplishments during his term as the vice president of the Philippines. The Office of the Vice President (OVP) also responded to Atienza’s concerns with them.
According to the OVP, Robredo’s achievements can be seen on social media. Robredo’s spokesperson, Atty. Barry Gutierrez, it’s all clearly stated on the Facebook page but even if it’s not on the Facebook page, just read the news articles that come out.
