KBL Wants Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos To Run for President

BONGBONG MARCOS – Former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is nominated for president by the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL) party.

As the filing of the candidacies for the Election 2022 is about to start, several incumbent politicians have already announced their political plans for next year. There are also those from other fields like business and medicine who wanted to take the political race.

Undeniably, in the Philippines, there are usually loud names even before the filing of the candidacies for election. There are groups and parties calling for certain politicians to run for a specific position. There are also surveys that give results on the possible candidates for a certain post.

One of those politicians that some people are calling to run for president is former Senator Bongbong Marcos – the only son of the late former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

In 2016, the former Senator ran for vice president but he lost to Vice President Leni Robredo who ran under the Liberal Party. He contested the victory of Robredo but the Court favored the lawyer from Naga City.

For the upcoming election, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL) nominated former Sen. Bongbong Marcos for president. KBL is the political party formed by his late father.

Marcos was not present during the assembly of the KBL but he sent a video message expressing his gratitude but clarifying that he has yet to accept the nomination. He is expecting support from the Nacionalista Party where he is also a member.

Aside from KBL, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas is also calling for former Sen. Bongbong Marcos to run for president. The Cusi wing of PDP-Laban admitted they are talking with Marcos for a possible national government position bid.
