Marcos said that he seeks a national post in the next election. However, he was still undecided about which position he would run for.

My plan is I will be a candidate next election. For what? We’ll still have to decide.

He then cited the advice of former Sen. Manny Villar following his loss in the elections. Villar had advised Marcos to not repeat the same mistake he did when he announced his bid early.

But, According to an article from Philstar, Marcos stated that whatever the post is, he would enter a national campaign.

Now, Marcos is currently contesting his defeat in the Vice-Presidential elections of 2016. He accused Vice President Leni Robredo of committing electoral fraud to secure a win.

Robredo came out victorious against Marcos by a slim figure of 263,473 votes during the 2016 elections. Marcos requested the Supreme Court to “reconsider, review, and re-examine” the recount results.

Meanwhile, Robredo urged the tribunal to immediately dismiss the election petition filed by the former Senator.

Based on reports from GMA, the Supreme Court is still hearing the case. The result of the recount, revision, and re-application of ballots from Camarines Sur, Iloilo, and Negros showed Robredo’s lead increased by 15,000 votes.

Kung anong mangyari sa kaso, kung maganda ang resulta, maganda, makakatulong ‘yan. Pero in the meantime, we have to lay the groundwork for any national campaign

A national campaign takes two to three years, really, to organize properly
