Doc Willie is popular for his helpful videos about health and staying fit. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Lawyer Tony La Viña who is also a former dean of the Ateneo School of Government in Manila believes that the doctor’s vice presidential bid is a “stroke of genius”.

According to the lawyer, he expected someone who is also popular. He believes that the doctor is a “perfect choice for the pandemic”. He described him as a serious doctor and credited it as an advantage for the Moreno-Ong tandem.

La Viña believes that the Moreno-Ong tandem will dominate social media and is most appealing to the young voters. He stressed that although both the Manila Mayor and the doctor have money for their campaign, it may not be as much as the fund for a “Duterte candidate” but they are good at social media platforms.
