As for the 76-year-old president, he confirmed his bid for the vice presidency but it was conditional.
According to Pres. Duterte, if his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, will run for president, he will withdraw his decision to run for vice president in 2022. To this, the presidential daughter reacted by advising her father and Sen. Bong Go to stop talking about her.
Furthermore, the Davao City Mayor stressed that the President and the Senator must not make her a basis in their decision for next year’s election. She has yet to give her final say on whether or not she will run for president.
