Vilma Santos Speaks on Reaction on 1st Time of Seeing Luis Manzano
VILMA SANTOS – The Star for All Seasons revealed her reaction the first time she saw Luis Manzano when he was a newborn baby.
One of the most popular and successful television hosts in the showbiz industry is Luis Manzano. Having parents who are both among the most prominent figures in the industry, he lived a celebrity life since he was a kid. A big part of the life of the actor-TV host is no secret to the public.
Luis is the son of actress-turned-politician Vilma Santos and Edu Manzano. They married in 1980 but separated two (2) years after. Both of his parents have found new love after the separation and he remained close to both of them.
In his latest vlog, Luis had his mother as his guest. He interviewed her about her reaction during the first time that she saw him.
Before the biggest question that he has asked her during the vlog interview, Vilma Santos was asked about the first people who knew that she was pregnant. According to the Batangas Representative, Luis was actually a “honeymoon baby”.
The actress-turned-politician shared that she was taping a project abroad then with Christopher de Leon when she and Edu Manzano decided to get married in a secret wedding. After it, they had a honeymoon. When she knew that she was pregnant, among the first people to know were Edu, the director, her family, and Christopher or Boyet.
Luis Manzano asked his mother if it is true that she found him ugly during the first time that she saw him as a baby. With no second thoughts, the actress answered yes. According to her, she gave birth through a caesarian process and when she was brought to the nursery, she saw a big baby who has an extremely fair tone. She asked the nurse about her baby and the nurse pointed to the said big baby – which was a surprise to her.
“Pangit kasi wala siyang eyebrows, ang laki-laki, parang anak araw… Bakit ganito itsura? Walang eyebrows, pilikmata, parang ang puti-puti mo na ang laki-laki mo. Parang malaking daga,” Vilma said which also draw laughter from Luis.
Based on the vlog, Luis had blonde hair when he was a baby. The actress told him to check on his pictures when he was a baby to which the TV host said that he did but none of it showed him like a big rat. Both of them were laughing.
