Celebrity couple Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola revealed that they already tied the knot last February and Star For All Season Vilma Santos shared her thoughts on this.

Two months after their engagement reenactment in Amanpulo last December 2020, Luis and Jessy had their civil wedding in The Farm in San Benito officiated by Lipa City Mayor Eric Africa.

The intimate ceremony only had 20 guests including Luis mom Vilma, dad Edu Manzano, and stepdad Ralph Recto. Based on the article by Philstar’s entertainment columnist Ricky Lo, on February 21, there has been talks about the wedding.

He asked the actress-turned-politician about this but unlike other normal circumstances that she would speak her mind, the particular question about Luis and Jessy‘s wedding was an exemption. Vilma Santos said that she was made to promise not to divulge anything.

Sorry but I promised not to say anything. Anyway, they are adults na and besides, event nila ‘yon, eh,” she said. Even the manager of Luis, June Torrejon-Rufino was also mum.

Nevertheless, the event was a success and tears of joy flooded. It was also an emotional but more on a happy side for the Star For All Season.

“Siempre I was teary-eyed. I just felt soooo happy seeing my son getting married. Sabi ko nga, ‘Totoo na ba ito?’ Of course, I knew about the civil wedding pero they are both adults at sila ang mga nag-desisyon at nagplano ng lahat. What’s important is that mayroon nang Mr. and Mrs. Manzano,” she shared.

The veteran actress also said that the Green Meadows house where their family used to live now belongs to Luis. She said that his son was the one who fixed and renovated the house.

When asked if what is her wedding gift for the couple, Vilma Santos said with a laugh “wala pa.” However, she is looking forward to having a grandchild soon. She said that it does not matter if it’s a boy or a girl, as long as the baby is healthy.
