PAGASA Says LPA Spotted Outside PAR, Monsoon Trough to Affect PH Weather

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (September 4)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area has been spotted outside PAR while the monsoon trough would affect the country’s weather.

On Saturday (September 4, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The monsoon trough would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

The monsoon trough would bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar.

The localized thunderstorms are also expected to bring similar weather condition over Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands. Metro Manila and the rest of the country would also experience the same.

PAGASA is also monitoring a low-pressure area spotted 2,080 kilometers east of Mindanao. It is not expected to develop into a tropical depression for the next 48 hours.

“Sa kasalukuyan, meron po tayong minomonitor na LPA sa labas ng Philippine area of responsibility. For now, for the next 48 hours mababa ang tsansa niya na magdevelop into a tropical depression and for further analysis pa lamang itong LPA na ito,” PAGASA said.

The remaining parts of the country would have a fair weather condition, according to the weather bureau.

“Medyo maaraw po ang magiging panahon. May isolated rain showers pa rin pagdating ng hapon at gabi, ‘yung mga pulo-pulong panandaliang pag-ulan,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.

The coastal water conditions over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate.
