PAGASA Says PH to Experience Fair Weather, ITCZ to Bring Isolated Rains

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (September 2)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Philippines would experience a fair weather but ITCZ would bring isolated rains.

On Thursday (September 2, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The intertropical convergence zone would remain as the dominant prevailing weather system.

The ITCZ would bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country would also experience similar weather condition due to the weather system. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

“Mayroong mga kalat-kalat na ulan, light to moderate with at times heavy rains. Mag ingat po sila sa posibleng mga pagbaha o landslides,” weather specialist Benison Estareja said.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over the Western Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi, Sulu and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.

Meanwhile, the surrounding sea conditions over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.

The weather agency said that no weather disturbances are expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility over the next few days. However, two to three tropical cyclones are expected to enter the country’s vicinity this month of September.
