JM de Guzman said this about his role as Peterson Alvarez
Kapamilya actor JM de Guzman admitted that doing his character Peterson Alvarez in the series Init Sa Magdamag was so stressful.
JM is among the good actors of his generation as he has proven this several times through the various characters he portrayed onscreen. One of his recent projects is the drama series with Gerald Anderson and Yam Concepcion.
He was playing a dark character and indeed this required good acting skills as what he has portrayed. In a previous article, the actor said that he has a lot of things that he learned from Peterson Alvarez, and it is about the bad things that he should not do.
To recall, some of the scenes in the series are really intense. There was even a time when the actor got injured on the set while they were shooting. It was his scene with Yam and he got four stitches after he got wounded on his head because of the accident.
During a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH, JM de Guzman shared that he will still do roles like what he portrayed in Init Sa Magdamag. However, as an actor, he also wants new challenges and he stressed that after Peterson Alvarez, he wants a breather first.
“Improve pa yung craft ko. Pero siguro after this, siguro yung medyo breather muna na roles yung mga hinihinga muna na roles then I’ll go again,” JM said.
He also said that the role was so stressful and he is choosing not to be stressed right now. “Siguro mas lumalayo na ako sa stress ngayon and mas vina-value ko yung peace of mind ko because yung proseso ng paggawa nung teleserye medyo sobra akong na-stress and nahirapan ako mag-recover,”the actor said. Following this project, JM de Guzman is set to do a movie under Viva and another one for indie.
