JM de Guzman shared this life-turning event in his life
Actor JM de Guzman said that he does not want to be that “person” anymore as he talked about his past struggle that turned his life upside down.
Before the said event happened in his life, JM was already doing well in showbiz. He has given opportunities to do a lead role in a series when he did the series Angelito: Ang Batang Ama in 2012.
However, a major obstacle in his life came unexpectedly. In his Instagram post, the actor shared that six years ago, he woke up from his sleep in his hotel room when five or six men were trying to get him using force.
“They had access in my room. pinned my head, elbows, knees, and chest while I watch the other guy inject something on my right shoulder. I felt weak in an instant,” JM de Guzman shared. The men brought him outside of the hotel where he saw his mother crying. Then, he found himself inside a small room with steel bars where he stayed for a month, and then, he was transferred to a rehabilitation center.
JM stayed in rehab for two years. This event happened in his life because he failed to complete his “one month basement and one year stretch in the first rehab.” The actor shared that until now, what happened to him still haunts him.
“For years I suffered. I was imprisoned by pain and hate. patched it up with a drug that made me lose everything I love,” he said. Fortunately, he was able to surpass these dark days of his life and he is thankful for this.
“Thank you God for everything. I’m not alone anymore. I pray for happier and peaceful days to come,” he added. JM de Guzman stressed that he does not want to be that person anymore and so people should respect his peace.
