Groom Passes Away Due to Asthma, Buried During His Wedding Day
A groom passed away due to asthma a few days before exchanging vows with his fiancée and got buried during his wedding day.
The couple James Edem and Angela Durias were supposed to tie the knot on Thursday (September 2, 2021). The two were supposed to exchange vows on their civil wedding but an unfortunate incident stopped it.
According to the photographer Louie Bulalayao, the couple had initially set the date of their Church wedding last July 18, 2020. Unfortunately, their wedding has been postponed due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
Eventually, Edem and Durias have decided to shift to civil wedding since their wedding has been repeatedly postponed and re-scheduled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
On August 25, 2021, James immediately passed away after suffering from asthma attack. The schedule of couple’s wedding becomes the burial of the deceased groom, which gives extreme grieve and pain to his partner Angela.
“Hindi ito ang in-imagine kong mangyayari sa araw ng kasal natin. Maraming araw kitang nakikitang napapagod, Daddy, pero ‘di kita nakitang sumuko. Ngayon lang, Alam kong may plano ang Panginoon para sa atin, lalong-lalo na para sa mga anak natin… Alam naming anghel ka na namin ngayon,” Durias said.
Bulalayao also posted the heartbreaking story of the couple:
“Araw ng inyong Kasal, araw ng libing ni Groom.
Ang masaya sanang Kasalan ay nauwi sa napakalungkot na pagpanaw ni Groom.
February 2020 kayo nagpaBooked ng Wedding nyo. Masaya ang plano ng Prenup sana sa Ilocos.
July 18, 2020 sana ang Church Wedding ninyo sa St. Francis of Asissi Parish. Ngunit dahil sa Covid ay hindi makakauwi ang inyong butihing Ina from Hongkong kaya ito ay ipinagpaliban muna.
At nito nga’ng Sept. 2, magaganap sana ang inyong Civil Wedding na nauwi sa napakalungkot na pagpanaw ni Groom bago ang inyong Kasal. Ang araw sana ng inyong Kasal ay araw ng libing ni Groom.
Madalamhating sakhihan at hindi ko napigilang mapaluha but Still, mula sa Booking hanggang sa inyong Kasal at paghihiwalay Physically, I captured your last moments and memories together.
