“I am an AUDITOR By Profession” “Script” Viral On Social Media
“I AM AN AUDITOR” – Following the Commission on Audit’s (COA) report on the Department of Health’s (DOH) COVID-19 funds, debates started on social media.
Due to the report, the DOH was under heavy public scrutiny leading President Rodrigo Duterte to defend the department. According to Duterte, COA should not make their audits public and instead wait for the government officials to comply with the documents.
However, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque explained that Duterte never threatened the COA. Instead, he emphasized that the president simply “aired his frustrations”.
Along with this, President Duterte also “Advised” COA to “reconfigure” their audit reports. According to an article from PNA, Duterte said:
“Alam ko walang malisya. You are just doing your duty. But in making the report, kindly reconfigure everything“
In lieu of this, supporters of the President took to social media and slammed COA for committing a “MORTAL SIN”. In the comment sections of reports regarding the COA issue, a peculiar comment can be found that goes:
“I am an AUDITOR by practice and modesty aside, a Certified International Auditor (CIA) by the Insitute of Internal Auditors, Florida, USA. “
But apparently, a lot of people are Certified International Auditors. As such, netizens took screenshots of a “new script” from supporters of the President.
Meanwhile, one netizen was kind enough to put “CTTO” at the bottom of the script.
