A homegrown ABS-CBN talent, Bea Alonzo reveals what she now feels every time she would be introduced as a new Kapuso.
BEA ALONZO – Korina Sanchez asks new Kapuso Bea Alonzo if she feels weird being in GMA given her 20-year stay in the ABS-CBN network.
For 20 years, actress Bea Alonzo has been with the ABS-CBN network. She started with the network and people are certainly used to hearing her as a Kapamilya actress. However, when the Kapamilya network lost the chance to get a new franchise to continue its operation, she was among the artists who jumped out of the ship. She transferred to the Kapuso network.
She is now an exclusive artist of the GMA network and among their newest Kapuso actresses. She signed the contract last July 1 and some people were not able to easily digest her decision and doubted her loyalty to the network that sheltered her for two decades. After signing a contract, she went abroad for a vacation with her boyfriend Dominic Roque. After a month, they returned to the country and she is now ready to do projects with her new network.
With her new home, Korina Sanchez, also one of those who transferred to another network with ABS-CBN lost a franchise, asked her if she has ever felt weird being in GMA. Truthfully, the actress shared that it felt surreal. The big shift in her life and career was a dream for her given the decades of her life working as a Kapamilya.
She also admitted that being called a Kapuso now is something new to her but she believes that what she did is right. She felt light over her decision and she can also feel that things in her life are falling into their place.
She said during the interview as per PEP, “Parang di ako makapaniwala just hearing my name being announced as the ‘new Kapuso.’ Parang merong gaan sa dibdib when you’re doing something that you like to do. Yung magaan sa loob. Parang everything is falling into place. I felt that.”
