Security Guard Shoots Akyat Bahay Who Entered the Dormitory Under His Area of Jurisdiction
A certain akyat bahay who broke into a dormitory in Quiapo, Manila after he was shot by a security guard roaming inside the establishment.
Last Monday (August 16, 2021), an unidentified man who is an alleged “akyat bahay” entered a dormitory in Quiapo, Manila. The guy sneakily breaks into the building while trying to hide from the guard.
Unfortunately, the guard and the suspect have an encounter. The culprit allegedly attempted to attack the security personnel using an ‘ice pick’ and the guard tried to defend himself by throwing chairs towards the suspect.
The akyat bahay continued to chase the guard leaving the security personnel with no choice but to shoot him to prevent any unfortunate incident. The suspect has been declared dead on-the-spot.
The guard voluntarily surrendered to the police authorities as a part of the legal process. He is currently detained at MPD Homicide section and surrendered his gun to the cops. He also refused to give a statement regarding the incident.
The latter explained that he just defended himself from the suspect and performed his duty to protect his area of jurisdiction.
“Kasama talaga sa proseso yun at base sa mga ebidensya, mga testimonya, lahat naman ng mga yan ay idadala natin sa prosecutor’s office at hayaan natin na ang piskal ang magsabi na pumasok siya doon sa principle of self-defense,” MPD spokesperson Pcapt. Philipp Ines said.
