Kelra Apologized Publicly Over Homophobic Remarks Towards OhMyV33nus, Wise
Mobile Legends pro player Kelra has apologized publicly after his homophobic remarks towards OhMyV33nus and Wise drew flak online.
Grant Duane “Kelra” Pillas has lately been chastised for making offensive remarks about Blacklist International’s Jhonmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Rosario on social media. A homophobic statement was made by the 16-year-old pro player against the V33Wise duo.
“Taos puso po akong humihingi ng tawad at pasensya sa lahat ng taong naapektuhan at nasaktan sa aking mga nasabi,” Kelra wrote on his page.

The Omega Esports player acknowledged making mistakes and being immature since he did not consider the ramifications of his actions. Kelra also expressed regret for what he said to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) community.
“Inaamin ko po na ako ay nagkamali at hindi nag-isip sa mga maaaring mangyari, naging immature at iresponsable ako,” he said.
“Hindi ko po itinatanggi ang isyu, inaamin ko po na di ko nag-isip na maaring may mga taong masaktan sa mga salitang nabitawan ko, ako po ay lubos na humihingi ng pasensya sa mga taong nasaktan ko, sa buong LGBTQ+ community at sa lahat ng tao na naapektuhan,” he added.
Kelra further stated that he has apologized to OhMyV33nus and Wise. He further vowed that the “disrespectful and extremely improper” comments would not be repeated.
“Sorry po sa disrespectful at sobrang innaproriate ng joke. Makakaasa kayong hindi na po ito mauulit muli,” he said.
Because of this, Kelra is also committed to being a better person and a role model as a professional player. Kelra’s behavior has left Omega Esports’saddened and dismayed,’ according to a statement released on Monday.
“An internal investigation has begun to address the matter. We are also coordinating with MPL regarding this issue. Rest assured we are taking steps to ensure respect and professionalism above all among all our players,” the team said.
Meanwhile, Kelra was suspended for two weeks and fined an undisclosed amount by the MPL Philippines for his unethical behavior. Kelra recently won MVP with his former club Execration on the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC).
