Showbiz fans are wondering if the recent photos of Pia Wurtzbach mean that she will be in Darna series
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach recently shared a photoshoot in which she posed with a snake and this sparked speculations that she might be part of the Darna TV series in the Kapamilya network.
After her beauty pageant stint, Pia also ventured into acting. She did a movie with Gerald Anderson titled My Perfect You. Many showbiz fans and fans of the Pinay iconic superhero are anticipating her involvement in the new ABS-CBN series because of her recent photos.
“Medusa’s about to lose control,” the third Pinay Miss Universe wrote in the caption of one of her photos with a snake. With this, some said that she might play the character of Valentina, the archenemy of Darna.
In line with this speculation, The Philippine Star asked the camp of Pia Wurtzbach if there is any truth to this. The answer from the camp of the beauty queen was, “Hindi.”
To recall, in 2019, when ABS-CBN was finding the new Darna after Liza Soberano had to give up the role due to her injury, Pia was asked if she is willing to audition for the iconic role.
She said that she wants to do so but this is not something her schedule allowed. Then, she was also asked if she is willing to do the “kontrabida” role, the role of Valentina. Pia Wurtzbach said that she would gladly accept whatever role that will be given to her.
Meanwhile, in a previous report, Iza Calzado shared that she will play the Darna role who will give the magical white stone to Jane de Leon who got the most coveted role. Jane has already started taping for the series and so her character in Ang Probinsyano had to bid goodbye.
