Pia Wurtzbach is willing to do everything for Darna role
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach expressed that she will do everything for the role following the exit of Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano as Darna.
Many were saddened when Liza announced that she could no longer continue shooting for Darna movie because of her finger injury.
Fans expressed sympathy as she tearfully shared the sad news. The Kapamilya network and Star Cinema announced that they will continue the preparation for the movie and the search for the actress who will play the iconic role.
In line with this, fans have already expressed who they want to be the next Darna. Several celebrities also expressed their thoughts about this.
One of the names that came out was Pia Wurtzbach. During a recent interview with ABS-CBN, she was asked to react about this.
Pia shared that she was also saddened when Liza gave up the role because they both talked about the iconic Pinay superhero.
“I also messaged her. I feel really bad for what happened,” the beauty queen said.
She also said that she is flattered to be one of the choices of fans to replace Liza.
Pia Wurtzbach added that if the role will be given to her, she is willing to do everything.
“Kung papalarin na ibibigay sa akin ‘yung role na Darna, tatanggapin ko. I will work hard, I will train, I will attend workshops. Ibibigay ko lahat ng lakas ko. But, of course, it’s ABS-CBN’s decision, in the end, to see who is the perfect fit to play the role,” she shared.
The beauty queen also expressed that she is willing to audition for the role. For her, playing Darna in a movie is a dream role, based on the report.
On the other hand, she understands the fact that “if it happens, it happens. If not, then that’s also fine.”
