Construction Worker in Eastern Samar Got Electrocuted During Work and Declared Dead-on-Arrival Before Reaching Hospital

A construction worker passes away due to electrocution while working at an infrastructure in the town of Hernani, Eastern Samar.

Nowadays, electrocution becomes one of the common cause of deaths among construction workers and several individuals. Electrical shock could cause mild to severe injury and may even lead to death.

The power distribution companies and the authorities were repeatedly reminding the consumers to be more careful when using electricity or any electrical-related activities to prevent electrocution.

A 30-year-old construction worker identified as Manuel Barcial dies of electrocution while working at an infrastructure project at Barangay Canciledes in Hernani, Eastern Samar. The victim has been declared dead-on-arrival.

Barcial, a resident of Barangay Garawon is holding a piece of wood when he accidentally touched the suspected live wire. The victim suddenly fall about 10 feet from his place due to electrical shock, according to the witnesses.

The victim has been rushed at the Regional Health Unit-Hernani but he passed away before reaching the hospital.
