On Friday (June 23, 2017), a total of five people were electrocuted at a water park in the town of Akyazi, in Sakarya province, northwest Turkey. The victims were identified as the park’s 58-year-old manager and his 30-year-old son after trying to save the three children.

According to some reports, the three children were caught up in an electrical current in the pool. The park’s manager together with his son immediately jumped into the pool attempting to save the youngsters.

The water park employees, which 150 kilometers east of Istanbul cut the power at the resort to save the five people from the electrocutions.

The five victims of electrical shock were immediately rushed to the hospital in Akyazi, but it was already too late for the medical experts to save them. The youngsters who died in the incident were aging 12, 15, and 17 years old.
