Lovi Poe shared this aspect of her personal life
Actress-singer Lovi Poe admitted that she also has insecurities and this is how she deals with them.
Lovi, aside from being lovely and talented, is also one of the popular showbiz personalities of her generation. However, despite her showbiz status and her fame, she admitted that she does not feel good about herself all the time.
For her new movie The Other Wife, she has to entertain her insecurities for her role. She played the character of Janis and her husband Ronnie, played by Joem Bascon, are having problems. Then, the character of Luisa, played by Rhen Escano, entered the scenario.
To give justice to her character, Lovi Poe started to compare herself to her female co-star. “Yung character ko kasi she’s very uptight and si Rhen she’s free spirit and light. Ako, I’m not that person. So parang yun yung tinary kong inulit-ulit sa head ko,” Lovi said as she was embracing the “internal struggle of paranoia and insecurities.”
In real life, the actress-singer admitted that she also has insecurities but for her, it is just normal as these make her human. “We don’t overcome them completely but, you know, we get through it. And we get by,” she said.
Lovi Poe even shared that she acquired insecurities while shooting for the film. After their lock-in taping, she brought that home.
“It took a while kasi parang binugbog ko yung sarili ko every morning with all my insecurities and yeah, there was a time na I was out of lock-in (taping) pero I couldn’t take pictures of myself kasi sobrang dala ko pa rin yung character ko. It took a while,” Lovi said.
