21 Fake Call Center Agents Scamming Foreign Men in Dating Site Arrested
Authorities arrested 21 agents in a fake call center that allegedly scamming foreign nationals men in a dating site and extort money.
In Valenzuela City, twenty-one people were arrested in a supposedly call center that turned out to be a hotbed of obscenity and an online dating site hoax. According to the article of Remate, when police captured the suspects on the second floor of an undisclosed building in the city, they were no longer able to flee.

During the arrest operation, the establishment’s manager argued that they were not breaking any laws. According to the authorities, it was in the month of May when someone alerted them to the establishment’s obscenity and fraud activities.
The bogus call center’s strategy was to entice foreigners with fake profile photographs and indecent photos. Once the enthusiastic foreigner has been enticed by the bait, his credit card information will be requested and he will be charged $ 50.
The foreigner will be blocked from the dating site after the money are obtained. According to the report, the commission of the aforementioned establishment’s “staff” was P800.
