The threats of the COVID-19 are still present that is why countries continue to be on guard against the said disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) has previously warned that it may be a long term fight against the pandemic and nations must not put their guards down early.

Unfortunately, amid the fight against the alpha variant of coronavirus, several variants of the said disease were detected. One of these is the Delta variant which was reportedly first recorded in India.

The said variant of COVID-19 brought India to a devastating situation. Patients filled up the hospitals to the point that many of them can no longer be accommodated. Doctors pleaded for help as they ran out of supplies. A lot of people died in India and mass cremations were done.
